Triangular military shield erect, azure, bears a lion or couped, rampant, rearing, holding a drawn sword in its paw. On top of the shield a military helmet is placed with a three verdured coronet or. Issuing from the coronet a lion similar to the one on the shield. The mantling is gules-argent on both sides. Below the coat-of-arms on a scroll the motto Sajónémeti is borne.

The coat-of-arms recalls the feudal seal of the village, fulfilling the requirements of the permanent usage and this is a reminder of the antecedents of the local authority and the past. However, according to the will of the ancestors it refers to the role of the lower nobility in the past of the settlement and the whole county.
