In the green covered triangular scutcheon there is a silver cheveron which fouls the upper stem. In the first field there is a gold "H" letter with thickened support, in the second field a gold lily, under an upward pointed gold ploughshare which faces right with its edge.

Explanation of the shield

The capital "H" is the initial letter of the community's old name Hosszútót and the new one, Hosztót. The lily is the symbol of the Bless Virgin Mary. The monument church of the settlement was dedicated to the assumption of Virgin Mary. The ploudhshare originated from the shield of the community's old traditional seal. This is the symbol of the agricultural lifestyle and the man's power. The green colour of the scutcheon is the symbol of the nature's annual renewal and the rebirth of the vegetable life. The green is the colour of hope, in this case the hope which all agriculturist start working again and again every spring with. Gold is the colour of life-giving sun and eternity.
