Shield erect, its base curved to a point. Upper edge of the shield is concave, its two sides are truncated. Party per pale with an ear of corn. In dexter field azure an eight-pointed star argent, in the sinister field or a patriarchal cross argent is borne. In the base a deer’s antler, proper.

The ear of corn is a reference to agriculture, the patriarchal cross is the symbol of the Roman Catholic Church. The star motif on the other hand symbolises Calvinism.The deer’s antler is a reference to the fact that the surrounding woods are rich in game.

Shield is enframed by a vinestalk, which is a reference to local viniculture. Below the shield the settlement’s name HÉREG is inscribed.
