(Vas County)

The coat of arms of Harasztifalu Village is the symbol of unity of all times, be this unity in the family or within the boundaries of the settlement.

This awareness of unity has matured throughout the thousand years of history, which has been lived and witnessed together. This was what gave the inhabitants the inspiration that the village should have a coat of arms based on its own history.

The coat of arms incorporates many symbols.

One of these is the choice of tinctures which, by bearing the colours of both the Hungarian and the Croatian standards, expresses double attachment.

The church symbolises our Christian, Catholic faith, the firm and steadfast belief that is with us from the cradle to the grave.

The ear of wheat on the one hand refers to the peasant way of life lived by the ancestors of the villagers, but it also symbolises our daily bread, the product of strenuous work.

By referring to the Croatian origin of the village's name, the oak leaf is a reminder of our ancestors as well as of our affiliation to the family, village and nation into which we were born. Moreover, it also symbolises life itself which, as represented by the coat of arms, reminds us of the past, our faith, our ancestors, our present and of those who have found their homes here.
