Halimba

(Veszprém County)

Shield erect, at two thirds of the shield party per fess with an invected line, base curved to a point. In base gules the miners’ emblem is borne, sable, a reference to the mining of bauxite int he region of Halimba. In upper field azure a floral motif of a primrose or and three primrose leaves vert are borne between two ears of corn, or. The motif of the two ears of corn were taken over from the old seal of the settlement and they symbolise local agricultural activity. The primrose is a nice and typical flower in this region and it symbolises the local flora which includes a variety of herbs as well.
