In the upper part of the shield the print of the market town seal from the Middle Ages. The print bears Saint Márton, the patron saint of Halászi, as he is cutting his robe into two with a sword to share it with a beggar. The upper and lower part of the shield is separated by a bar wavy argent, the Mosoni Duna. The fish and the river in the lower part of the shield symbolises the fishermen, founders and denominators of the village.
