Spade shield erect with a bend sinister and its base is curved to a point. In the upper dexter field azure a tobacco leaf vert is borne, a motif, which symbolises the chief agricultural crop of the area. In the lower sinister field vert a ploughshare argent, a reference to the inhabitants’ traditional way of life. In the centre of the shield the heraldic beast of the Apagyi de Apagy family is borne, a bustard or standing on a crown or. Shield is topped by a barred helmet argent, adorned with a three-pointed verdured crown. The mantling, issuing from the crown is of floral pattern. It is azure and argent on the sinister, gules and or on the dexter side. Above the shield the name of the settlement APAGY is borne and below it the word KÖZSÉG/village is inscribed in Bangle Antiqua letters in the shape of an arch.

The flag of Apagy is azure and in the centre at two thirds the settlement’s coat-of-arms as well as its inscriptions are borne.
