Alattyán

(Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County)

The starting point of the creating of the coat of arms is the evaluation of a seal kept in the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Archives and within it the first remaining coat of arms from 1772.

The coat of arms was made similarly as the one created in 1861. which is essentially the same as the above mentioned from 1772.

Shield azure, base curved to a point, contoured or. In the base with edge downwards pointing to the sinister ploughshare is borne, in the fess in the middle a six-pointed star between two ears of wheat. Across the top a barred helmet with a label forming an abetement in the chief.

Round the gorget of the label chain or.

From the three-leaved crown St. Michael, the patron saint of the settlement is issuing, holding a sword in his dexter hand and a scale in his sinister hand. Under the crown fine mantling.

Shield azure, contoured or, star or. Ploughshare argent, ears of wheats or like the star.

The helm, crown and St. Michael archangel is tinctured or, argent and gules in harmony.

The angel-wings are white.
